Pavilion Restaurant

Guard

HEVER CASTLE has totally refurbished its Pavilion Restaurant. With an investment of over £800,000, the restaurant renovations is the most significant improvement to the Hever Castle estate in over 20 years.

Frequent visitors to Hever will know that the restaurant was housed in a 1970s style building in need of renovation, situated at the far end of the Italian Gardens. The exterior of the building has been completely overhauled with the introduction of stone columns and an English oak pergola, with wood locally sourced from the castle’s estate. French doors along the length of the building will lead out onto an extensive seating area, paved with sandstone.

The interior has undergone considerable change with a multi vaulted ceiling letting in natural sunlight, a classic design palette of pastel colours, soft lighting, stylish furnishings and an oak floor. Day visitors will find two distinct eating areas and for private functions the restaurant will have seating for more than 200, making it one of the biggest function facilities in the county.

The building will complement the Italian Gardens with its Palladian feel and will dramatically improve the visitors’ experience.
